In the center of Poland, in the heart of Europe, lies Łódź – known to us German speakers as „Lodsch,“ but pronounced „Wudsch.“ It's a city in transition and a city with a rich history in fashion and textiles.

Precisely there, on May 20th, a top-class event took place for the second time: Trend Station 2.0 – serving as a glamorous kick-off to the City Climate Summit, which followed on May 21st and brought together change agents and thought leaders from all over Europe. @cityclimatesummit_trendstation

The program showcased not only 10 sustainable designers but also music and dance performances, as well as a piece commemorating the 2013 tragedy in Bangladesh – when the Rana Plaza garment factory collapsed, burying over 1100 garment workers. This tragedy marked the beginning of a new era in the fashion industry: the era of enlightened, critical consumers. It was only through this tragedy that improvements in the fashion and textile industries began to take place on a larger scale.

I was part of this extraordinary evening, on the one hand by, together with @mateusz_hladki_ through the program and on the other hand in @jackobbuczynski to be allowed to run on such a great show.

Such gatherings give me hope that better fashion is possible. With more quality, more passion, more craftsmanship, and all the creativity that only humans are capable of. AND: the fact that an event of this magnitude for sustainable fashion exists is another reason for hope.

Thank you for my outfits, @jackobbuczynski
Thanks for the great makeup, @sokolowskaanna and the incredible hairstyle @upgrade.poland .
Congratulations on the great show, @katarzyna_wojtera and overall about the entire event, @magda_em_wu @anna.wierzbicka.ldz
