Thank you for this great contribution by Nadja Walluschnig for ORF Südtirol during my participation in the Fashion For Future Festival in Bolzano. It's about Heidi Klum and why I think her work is important, what solutions I see for the fashion industry and what I need to feel glamorous.

SALTO: On Heidi Klum, criticism of capitalism and the fashion of the future

Martina Gleissenebner-Teskey and Lou-Anne Gleissenebner backstage during the filming of GNTM 2022

"But we have to look at this system, which is neither fair nor forward-looking."

Martina Gleissenebner-Teskeyon the subject of capitalism

In the Interview with the South Tyrolean fashion blogger Susanne Barta are you very critical of capitalism, do you want to abolish it?

I have been working intensively on this question for several years (laughs). We have created an absolutely efficient system that promotes motivation, but which is now gradually becoming absurd. Money, the central value in capitalism, no longer has the value it should represent. Exchanges with money used to make sense because the exchange of goods for goods is less efficient. But if we now consider which goods and services are really of value, they are no longer properly represented by money.

FRANZMAGAZINE: Just looking good was always too little for me

For decades, I have worked with great dedication and commitment in training and coaching to support people in their self-development - but what kind of leverage was it to appear on a show like this, to reach so many people and to inspire them to take action. I have noticed that many sustainable fashion brands communicate in far too elitist a way and are far too exclusive. The masses are not bad or stupid, but most of them prefer lightness or are afraid of damaging themselves and their own lifestyle by making big changes. I am aware of this, which is why my project is simply an offer to take the next possible step. Many small steps taken by many people take us a long way. That's what I want to show.

An absolutely unembellished interview about my commitment and what I hope to achieve with it. It's not much, but if you want to shape your own life in a meaningful way, it's enough to take a small step in the right direction.

With Estée Lauder and Paulina Porizkova in Paris

At the invitation of Estée Lauder Germany, I kicked off April with a wonderful event in Paris. To mark the return of supermodel Paulina Porizkova as the face of the brand and her upcoming 60th birthday, there was a sumptuous gala dinner, followed the next day by an inspiring exchange with the birthday girl and Aerin Lauder.

The participants came from all over Europe - businesswomen and the most successful best ager models that many of us know from advertising and magazines.

A very empowering experience and, for me, a conscious decision for luxury that is not an everyday occurrence.
